Gig Harbor | Remodel

After living in this beautiful Gig Harbor home for 24 years, our client was ready for their home to be fully updated and remodeled. After several client meetings to determine the project’s goals and priorities, we began our work on the extensive redesign. Our approach was to create a forward and welcoming interior design concept that incorporated several existing heirloom pieces. With each area, our goal was to create and provide a cohesive approach to the layout, product styles and finishes. On the main floor, we concentrated on the entry, staircase, powder room and living room. The entry and staircase with a dramatic chandelier, patterned stairway carpeting, and the addition of wood wall finishes provides a dramatic, yet welcoming feel. The living room was transformed by creating a flex area and a window seat with storage. An heirloom table was combined with the modern casework selected for the window seat creating an interesting and balanced look. The fireplace was completely transformed by adding additional mill work and flanking bookcases giving the room a more balanced look. Upstairs, the master bath and closet were fully redesigned adding requested elements like a freestanding tub, barrier free shower, a vanity with trough sink and two faucets. The master closet included multiple storage options and a dressing area with floor to ceiling mirror. The bath and closet were complete with a chandelier in each. Continuing upstairs, the hall bath was redesigned with new cabinets and finishes. A wood wall treatment above the vanity with two decorative mirrors provided an open feel to the space. As we collaborated with our client and the project progressed, we soon realized that each new design element created such excitement and joy for our client. In the end, we transformed spaces for our clients that now have increased function and a fresh and dramatic feel.
