MEDICAL HANGAR | GIG HARBOR
Project Overview: This medical office, housed within an airplane hangar, was created for a pilot who also practices as a doctor specializing in aviation-related healthcare for other pilots. The project aimed to blend functionality with aviation-inspired design, creating a space that caters to both the medical needs of patients and the personal interests of the client.
Design Concept: The design concept seamlessly integrates aviation elements into a contemporary healthcare setting. Inspired by the industrial aesthetic of the airplane hangar, we crafted a space that is both lively and inviting. The office showcases custom cabinetry, thoughtful kitchen and bath design, and carefully selected finishes that reflect the client’s unique blend of expertise in both medicine and aviation. On the upper floor, we transformed an unused space into an observation deck that offers a great view of the owner’s aircraft, providing an ideal place to relax. Each area, whether for patient care or relaxation, is designed to be both highly functional and visually elevated.
